Christmas Concert in Quinta dos Vales

Yesterday Quinta dos Vales hosted another cultural evening for its loyal audience in a welcoming environment. Presenting a Christmas concert, uniquely performed by Coral Idéias do Levante, it was met with warming applause by the public who filled the "Sala de Provas" to capacity. At the end there were wishes of Happy Holidays and a tasting of espumante "Marquês dos Vales" accompanied by the typical "bolo rei".

Quinta dos Vales Supports Social Causes!

A charity dinner organized by the "NCA-Dutch Club Portugal" to support
the "Lar de Crianças Bom Samaritano" of Alvor was held last Monday at
"Balaia Golf Village" in Albufeira. Quinta dos Vales supported the
initiative by offering some of its wines to be raffled at the event. 18
participants were awarded with 3 bottles of wine "Marquês dos Vales" at
this event where around € 2,000.00 were raised and will give the
children in this institution a happier Christmas. To learn more about

José Praia Concert in Quinta dos Vales

In a very friendly atmosphere Quinta dos Vales welcomed yesterday a very exclusive audience who attended a very lively concert of traditional fado of Coimbra. The audience joined in singing and everyone enjoyed this second winter concert by Quinta dos Vales while savoring the delicious Marquês dos Vales wines.

Weihnachtskonzert in der Quinta dos Vales

Am Samstag, den 17. Dezember 2011, um 17.00 Uhr, unter der Leitung von Francisco Brazão, wird Coral Idéias do Levante in einer Partnerschaftsinitiative mit Quinta dos Vales Ihnen ein 'Weihnachtskonzert' anbieten. Einige Weihnachtsthemen werden in einer sehr familiären und gemütlichen Atmosphäre interpretiert.
Eintritt kostet Eur 4,00 und Tickets werden in Quinta dos Vales (Estombar), im Artes Barricas Shop (Porches) angeboten und im WebShop angeboten. Auch im Idéias do Levante Office in Lagoa (von 18.00 bis
20.00 Uhr – ausser Feiertagen) kann man bestellen.

1st National Equestrian Competition in Tavira

The Military Infantry Regiment N1 of Tavira is hosting on 26th and 27th
November 2011 the 1st national equestrian competition. It is intended to
provide a spectacular occasion in a cultural moment connected to the
rurality of the region. Several entities of Faro district will support
the event.
The well known wines of Quinta dos Vales - Marquês dos Vales - will be
tasted during the event on the 26th November between 10am and 4pm.

"... I was able to get down to the Algarve for a little break recently.
Here I visited the Quinta dos Vales winery once again to try some of the
latest wines. It was quite pleasant there with the temperature in the
low 20's (centigrade), which is very acceptable to me in mid November.
Although it is pretty quite in the Algarve at this time of year, it is a
good chance to get a cheap hotel room and see the towns as fishing
villages rather than tourist resorts. ..."

José Praia: “Zwischen Coimbra und Lissabon”

Am 10. Dezember 2011 um 21.00 Uhr erleben Sie wieder in Quinta dos Vales
einen kulturellen Weinabend. Verschiedene Fadogeschichten machen sich
bekannt durch José Praia. Es hat ein ganzes Leben gedauert bis er aus
dem Norden Portugals in die Algarve kam. In der mistischen Atmosphaere
von Coimbra Serenaden hat er unvergessliche Lieder und Geschichten
gesammelt. Ausser den traditionellen Liedern von Coimbra, hat der Sänger
andere unvergessliche Themen gesammelt. Heute, 30 Jahre nach seiner
Ankunft in der Algarve, teilt er mit dem Publikum in der prächtigen
Quinta dos Vales eine 'colecção de fados'. Er wird auch den froehlichen
Aspekt dieser Art von klassischem Fado demonstrieren. Es spricht nicht
nur von Schmerz und Tragödie. Er wird auch beweissen, dass durch die
Stimme, auch Gefuehle sich materialisieren können.

Quinta dos Vales präsentiert zweites sein Winter Konzert. Unsere Absicht
ist mit dieser Kombination von Fado mit portuguiesischen Guitarre die
Kultur unserer Region zu promovieren.
